This mid century house remodel was inspired by the idea of re configuring the small and dark spaces of the existing kitchen and opening up the room to light and form a large center kitchen island, the hub of the house.

Fir cabinetry and stainless steel countertops were selected in the Kitchen and the open douglas fir beam ceiling in the Kitchen and Living Room were retained.  The existing tight mid century bathroom was redesigned to create a large Master Suite with stone flooring doug fir cabinetry and window sills honoring the Pacific Northwest vernacular.
