The concept for the entire house remodel of this 1940’s ranch was to open up the ceilings and the rooms and create a “white on white”, open plan, farmhouse design with views toward the new pool and Connecticut blue flagstone courtyard.
The Living and Dining spaces are expressed in a white painted wood ceiling with a white painted truss design, contrasted with a dark stained oak floor. Painted wood cabinetry graces the interiors. The traditional painted white wood Kitchen cabinetry is anchored by a pop of color on the kitchen island and accented with a built in banquette.
Traditional divided light painted wood double hung windows and transoms above French doors were intentionally selected to create a Hampton’s type style that is timeless and classic.
